Both the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration worked on a proposal that aimed at making American roads safer. The proposal wanted to fit heavy-duty vehicles with speed limiters and set a maximum for these limiters. However, the proposal fell through and wasn’t put into action.
